Our Mission

Bringing the community together to improve the quality of life for children and families in Elbert County.

For the second year in a row, the investment magazine Worth named Communities In Schools as one of the nation's 100 best charities.  Worth chose organization based on skill, innovation, effectiveness, and strategic insight.

There are approximately 819,000 registered U.S. charities. Worth's criteria for selection were skill, innovation, effectiveness, and strategic insight", resulting in a list of 10 charities  "that are essential for creating a caring society," according to reporter Reshema Memon Yaqub. " If you had six months to research the best charities to give your money and trust to, we're confident you'd come with the same list". The Worth article noted that, for every $100 donated to Communities In Schools, $90 goes directly to programs.
